For the purposes of this document, the terms "we" and "ourselves" refer to Get Sharing (ie the company wholly owning getsharing.com and other associated products, services and domain names); "you", "your", "yourself" and "yourselves" refer to users of getsharing.com and consumers (paid or otherwise) of products or services provided by Get Sharing.

Get Sharing is a Social Sharing and Networking site, based in Leeds, United Kingdom. The service is open to anybody from any nationality, background, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender or sexual preference.

The only excluding factor (which is for the safety of all users) is that of age: ie you can not sign up for Get Sharing if you are under 14 years of age and if you are aged less than 16 you will be restricted to use on a high privacy setting. Any attempt to manipulate this rule will result in the termination of your account and, if necessary, full co-operation from ourselves with the appropriate authorities. Manipulation may involve (but is not restricted to) making a false declaration of your age, or trying to override the security settings in place for those users with high privacy accounts.

In keeping with our inclusive policy we have a very strict approach to anybody who discriminates or initimidates another user, for whatever reason. We reserve the right to terminate your account immediately, and co-operate with the appropriate authorities if necessary, if you are found to have discriminated against, intimidated, or deliberately offended another user.

Whilst everybody is welcome to join getsharing.com, we must stress that there are a number of practices that we will not tolerate and will result in immediate deactivation of your account and, if necessary, co-operation with the appropriate authorities. These include (but are not limited to):

• Uploading nude photos or videos (whether deemed to be pornographic or not).
• Writing, posting or quoting material that is deemed offensive, discriminatory or could cause intimidation. Examples include the use of obscene language, remarks that cause offence because they discriminate (examples include, but are not limited to, racist comments, sexist comments, derogatory comments about faith and religion, derogatory comments about disabilities) and comments, quotes or uploads of an overtly and threatening sexual nature.
• Uploading material in any format (including, but not limited to images, video and music) that is deemed offensive, discriminatory or could cause intimidation. Examples include the use of obscene language, remarks that cause offence because they discriminate (examples include, but are not limited to, racist comments, sexist comments, derogatory comments about faith and religion, derogatory comments about disabilities) and comments, quotes or uploads of an overtly and threatening sexual nature.
• Uploading, posting or quoting work for which you do not hold the copyright and/or you do not have the explicit, written, consent of the copyright holder to post, quote or upload.
• Uploading, posting or writing material that promotes illegal activity. Illegal activity is deemed to be that which is illegal in the United Kingdom. Examples include, but are not limited to, anything that promotes, supports or defends, drug use, drug trafficking, child pornography, child prostitution, human trafficking, terrorism, hatred based on faith, nationality, or ethnicty, illegal abortion, euthanasia, suicide, or theft.
• Making false claims about your, or another person's, identity (including, but not limited to, age, gender, sexual preference, marital status, faith, disability) that sets out to deliberately deceive another user.

Please ensure that you don't post any personally identifiable information to the site. This includes surname, address, phone number, mobile number, email address, or anything else that could be used to identify and contact you personally. We collect a small amount of this information, but do not publish it on the site. More details on how we use the information that we collect can be found in our Privacy Policy.

At the time of writing, many of the services provided by Get Sharing are completely free of charge. However, the service includes premium upgrades (one example being that of an increased storage limit being applied to your account). If you have paid for a premium service we promise to do all within our control to ensure that the service is maintained. However, we are unable to guarantee that the service will be available 100% of the time and are unable to make any refunds in such cases. If you believe that you should be entitled to a refund because the service has been unavailable for an unacceptable amount of time, please contact us and we will consider each case on its own merits.

Please be aware that (whilst we currently have no intention to do so) we reserve the right, at any time, to start charging for services that have previously been free. We will endeavour to inform you in time for you to make a decision about whether you will purchase the service before your account is deactivated

Please be aware that, if you have purchased a premium service and subsequently have your account deactivated because you are in breach of the terms of use, we will not, under any circumstances, refund any money paid to us.

We will endeavur to ensure that the service is maintained at all times. However, we are unable to guarantee this, and will not be held responsible for any losses you may incur as a result of Get Sharing's services not being available when you require them.

Get Sharing are not responsible for any inaccurate material or misrepresentations made on this site and will not be held responsible for opinions made, material written, posted or quoted, or files uploaded to the site.

We will not be held responsible for any damage caused to your (or anybody else's) equipment, or any other claim made with regard to loss of earnings, personal injury or death, or other compensation claimed, from the use (whether incorrect or otherwise) of Get Sharing, the downloading of material linked from Get Sharing, the attendance at an event publicised on Get Sharing or any other claims arising from the use of our service.

We will not be held responsible for the content of sites linked from Get Sharing, whether by users of the service, paying advertisers, or otherwise.

If you post material on Get Sharing for which you hold the copyright, please be assured that you retain every right to that work. In no way will we claim any rights to it, nor will we claim ownership of it.

If you believe that your copyrighted work, either written, visual, audio or otherwise, has been used without permission on Get Sharing, please contact us immediately with the full web address of the page where the material was found and we will endeavour to remove it as soon as possible. We will not be held responsibile for the inclusion of this material on the Get Sharing web pages.

Please be aware that Get Sharing is located in the United Kingdom and, as such, is governed by UK law. Any disputes arising from use of this service will be settled in the courts of the United Kingdom. As far as we are aware, this site is entirely legal in the UK. If you use it in another country, it is your sole responsibility to ensure that the use of the site is legal in that country also.

We reserve the right, at any time, to change these terms of use, and they will come into force immediately upon publication to the website. By signing up to getsharing.com, you are agreeing to check, consent to, and abide by the terms of use at any given time
